I had the privilege of being included in my husband’s
monthly Kula dinner this week. This yogi group decided a year ago to start
meeting for dinner once a month to build community bonds after their Wednesday
practice. With the popularity growing for this yogi dinners, it was decided to
have a topic to discuss during this time together…….when a question is asked
that stumps the group, someone will suggest this must be the topic for next
month. Interestingly enough when Wade asked ‘So what does this have to do with
Grace?’ followed by group silence, it became the topic for this month.
The exploration and discussion on Grace proved to be as
difficult a topic as ever. Is it something you do, something you have,
something you give away, something you are, something another gives you, etc..?
Looking through dictionaries, Wikipedia and Google for the defining wisdom on
this illusive word proved futile. The examination lens was tested by all,
speaking to religious perspectives, Buddhist concepts, consciousness training;
in the end settling on Grace is an inflatable chair with a cup holder floating
in the stream where you settle in to enjoy the flow allowing your authentic
self to beam.
Grace was found as this community shared themselves deeply.
Allowing self examination while others watch is certainly an act of grace. I
know I will hang on to my image of Grace as riding the inflatable chair with
the cup-holder flowing down the river of life.
Thank EVERYONE for all your patience. This website is going through a much needed update. It should be up soon because I have a marvelous creative person on it. I will be sending the email notification so you know when to tune it.....YeeeeHaaaaaa!

Being connected to the consciousness of water, I was led to facilitate a Water Blessing Ceremony on the banks of the Raccoon River, Des Moines Waterworks Park, Summer Solstice 2009. It happened to be during the time when the whole world was participating in the LIVE H2O Global Concert. The energy in that unity was palpable for the few on that river bank. Many who attended I had never met before. They simply heard about it and showed up. One of these people was Keith Gilchrist, a photographer from Wisconsin. Another was a videographer/journalist from the Des Moines Register, just checking things out on her own. I couldn't have even imagined the ripple going out to conscious beings who were not already connected to me. The water responded with a huge THANK YOU......and we were all blessed. Feel free to check out the Keith Gilchrist link to the photo documentation. Thank you everyone.
